Live Science Show

Look back at 12 of the most spectacular science stories of this year.  Located in the Kemper Creative Learning Studio.  Included in general museum admission, free for members.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Get psychedelic with all three Pink Floyd Cosmic Light Shows: Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall and Wish You Were Here. For ages 17 years and older.
Located in the Boeing Dome Theater and Planetarium.

Featuring all three Pink Floyd Cosmic Light Shows:

8:45 p.m.:  The Wall

9 a.m. – 4 p.m

While parents are at work, kids grades K-8 can spend the day at Exploration Place learning the best of science, technology, engineering and math,.

 Zany Zoology - Friday, Dec. 20
Discover the differences and dealings between dogs, dolphins, dung beetles and doves.

Cool Botany - Monday, Dec. 23
There is more to plants than looking pretty and being tasty to eat. Kids will investigate how plants save lives and keep bugs guessing.


Awesome Aerospace - Thursday, Dec. 26
Overcome the gravitational pull of the sofa! Discover how air can hold things up, and how to land a raw egg safely from three floors up.

Space Flight Explorers - Friday, Dec. 27
During this NASA-based camp, kids will become a future space explorer as they duplicate science experiments being done on Mars. Plus, explore human spaceflight.

Creative Chemistry - Monday, Dec. 30
Uncover how small changes can make big reactions through explosions, color-changing experiments, and edible treats.

Phenomenal Physics - Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014
Why is the sky blue? How do rollercoasters work? Kids will jump into the world of physics to answer these questions and build an amusement park ride.

Fun Forensics - Friday, Jan. 3, 2014
What do footprints, bugs, and hair have in common? They all can be used as evidence from a crime scene!  Get a taste for the work of a Crime Scene Investigator.
